EPSAT Vosges : Together for Workplace Health and Prevention in Les Vosges

Since 2011, following a major reform of occupational health in France, a wide range of professions and skills has been mobilized to support workplace prevention in companies. EPSAT Vosges employs nearly 90 staff members, working in multidisciplinary teams within the Prevention and Health departments.

EPSAT Vosges: A Comprehensive Occupational Health and Prevention Service

EPSAT Vosges provides a comprehensive range of services dedicated to occupational health and risk prevention in the workplace. The organization is funded exclusively through the contributions of its 7,500 member companies, for which it ensures the monitoring and support of over 90,500 employees.

Its scope of action covers all private-sector companies and professions, with the exception of the agricultural sector. All types of employment contracts are included, including temporary workers.

To ensure close support for businesses and employees, EPSAT Vosges relies on a network of 13 centers located across Les Vosges region, enabling it to remain close to the companies it serves and their workforce.

Hu-Man principles

At EPSAT Vosges, our mission is clear: to protect the health and well-being of employees while supporting companies in the prevention of occupational risks. Today, this mission is taking on a new dimension. Quality of working life and working conditions (QWL) has recently been incorporated into legislation and is now fully part of the scope of occupational health and prevention services. At the same time, companies are facing unprecedented challenges: the rise in sick leave, increasing psychosocial risks, chronic stress, and professional burnout. These issues affect all organizations, regardless of their size or sector. In this context, it is clear that no single actor can address these challenges alone. It is within this framework that EPSAT Vosges has chosen to promote the Hu-Man label, the world’s first label dedicated to the humanization of work. This partnership is based on a strong conviction: humanizing work is not only an ethical choice, it is also an economic and social necessity. The Hu-Man label provides a clear and operational framework to support companies in preventing psychosocial risks, improving working conditions, and promoting sustainable employment. It acts not only on practices, but also on the very structure of organizations. For EPSAT Vosges, this label represents a particularly valuable tool. It helps highlight good practices already implemented within companies, measure in concrete terms the actions taken to improve employee well-being, and create a virtuous circle between collective performance and workplace health. At a time when sick leave is increasing and workplace distress can quickly impact productivity, engagement, and team cohesion, having clear benchmarks and a recognized label is essential. EPSAT Vosges is therefore fully committed to this initiative. Our ambition is to support companies in the region in developing active prevention, to raise awareness among managers about the human dimension of work, and to contribute to the long-term protection of employees. The partnership with the Hu-Man label thus represents an important step toward transforming organizational practices and promoting, at the heart of companies, a truly humanized approach to work.
